Just because they have beards and are physically indistinguishable from any other bloke walking down Curtain Road doesn't make them bad people, it makes them fashion victims.
Bless their little hand loomed woollen lumberjack socks, at least they are trying something new ...good on them I say. Although it saddened me that the chaps felt the need to position themselves as urchins from poverty stricken Belfast to validate their entrepreneurial spirit. It shouldn't matter one bit but they played that card anyway. Do you think the vitriol would have been more severe if Gary and Alan from Belfast were actually Giles and Alistair from Berkshire? Most definitely.
Cereal Killer Cafe (ok granted, the name does grate a little) isn't any worse than the artisan coffee shops that have sprung up all over town charging similar prices for similar goods i.e pouring hot / cold milk into / onto stuff...it's all the same. People want it, people pay for it.
And speaking of original business ideas, here is an example of the kind of nonsense happening in my neck of the woods at a 5 star boutique hotel. I am sure Stewart Gilchrist would be delighted to know he was being billed as '..amongst other things..' It's £50 per person if you're interested.
